These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Masters Therapy’s services and website. By booking an appointment, using our services, or accessing our website, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Masters Therapy (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides therapeutic services including Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

2. Eligibility for Services
  • You must be 18 years or older to book therapy sessions for yourself.
  • For children and young people, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent.
  • You confirm that all information you provide is accurate, complete, and up to date.

3. Nature of Services
  • Masters Therapy offers talking therapies and mental health support.
  • Our services are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are in crisis or at risk of harm, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency services immediately.
  • Therapy effectiveness varies; we cannot guarantee specific outcomes.


4. Appointments & Cancellations
  • Sessions are typically 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed.
  • Appointments must be booked in advance via our website, email, or phone.
  • Cancellations & Rescheduling:
    • At least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
    • Cancellations made within 48 hours may be charged in full.
  • Late Arrivals: If you arrive late, the session will still end at the scheduled time and full fees apply.

5. Fees & Payments
  • Session fees are clearly stated on our website and booking materials:
    • Counselling: £70 per session
    • CBT: £80 per session
    • EMDR: £90 per session
    • 10-session package: 10% discount (prepaid)
  • Payment must be made in advance or before session begins.

  • Refunds are only issued in line with our Cancellation Policy.


6. Confidentiality & Records
  • Therapy sessions are confidential. Information will not be shared without your consent except where:
    • Required by law or court order.
    • There is a serious risk of harm to you or others.
    • Safeguarding duties apply (e.g., child protection).
  • Session notes are securely stored in compliance with GDPR and UK Data Protection laws.


7. Use of Website
When accessing our website, you agree:
  • Not to misuse or attempt to hack the site.
  • Not to copy, reproduce, or redistribute our content without written permission.
  • To use the website only for lawful purposes.
    We reserve the right to suspend or block access if these rules are breached.


8. Therapist–Client Relationship
  • Therapy is a collaborative process; you are encouraged to participate openly and honestly.
  • You may discontinue therapy at any time, but we recommend discussing this with your therapist before ending sessions.
  • Masters Therapy reserves the right to withdraw services if:
    • You engage in abusive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour.
    • Fees remain unpaid.
    • Therapy is deemed unsuitable for your needs (we may provide referral suggestions).


9. Disclaimer of Liability
  • While we take every effort to provide high-quality care, Masters Therapy is not liable for:
    • Outcomes of therapy sessions.
    • Any loss, damage, or injury arising from use of the website or services.
  • Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by negligence.

All website content, branding, text, graphics, and materials are the intellectual property of Masters Therapy and may not be reproduced without prior written consent.

12. Complaints Procedure
  • We aim to provide the highest standard of care.
  • If you are dissatisfied, please raise your concerns directly with us via email.
  • If unresolved, you may escalate your complaint to the British Association for Behavioural & Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) or relevant professional body.


13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. The latest version will always be published on our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.


14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
